Voter Registration

Currently in Kansas, you must be registered to vote 21 days before an election. As long as you will be 18 years old by Election Day, you can register to vote.

 

The deadline to register to vote before the General Election is October 18.

Early Voting

Kansas allows voters to advance vote in person at county election offices or satellite voting locations up to 20 days before an election. For the 2022 elections, counties may begin in-person advance voting on:

  • July 13 for the August Special Election; and

  • October 19 for the November General Election.

Mail-In Ballots

Voters are allowed to vote by mail prior to election day in the state of Kansas. The deadline to submit advance voting applications to your county election official is: 

  • July 26 for the August Special Election; and

  • November 1 for the November General Election.  

 

All mail-in ballots MUST be deposited into a ballot drop box by 7pm on Election Day or postmarked on or before election day and received in the county election office by the close of business on the Friday following the election.
